Privacy Policy

Birth Timer is a deliberately minimal app, and its privacy posture reflects that.

What we collect

Nothing. We don’t run any servers for Birth Timer. You have no account. You give us no data.

What is stored locally on your device

  • Timestamps of your contractions (used to compute duration and interval)
  • Contacts you enter yourself (midwife, hospital, partner, emergency numbers)
  • Your hospital-bag list
  • Your in-app preferences

This data never leaves your device through us. There is no cloud sync, no backup service from us, no telemetry.

What we don’t do

  • We set no cookies or comparable tracking technologies
  • We use no analytics SDKs
  • We use no advertising SDKs
  • We share no data with third parties
  • We sell no data

Apple Watch sync (WatchConnectivity)

If you use the Apple Watch app, contraction data syncs between iPhone and Watch via Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. This sync happens exclusively between your own devices, over Apple’s local Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, and touches none of our servers. Apple handles that pairing under its own privacy terms.

App Store and Google Play

When you download Birth Timer from the App Store or from Google Play, Apple’s and Google’s respective privacy policies apply to that download. We have no control over them and receive no personal data about you from them.

Your rights

Because we don’t collect or store any data, there’s nothing on our side to delete, export, or correct. All your data is yours and lives on your device. You can erase it at any time inside the app: Settings → Delete all data.

Children

Birth Timer is not specifically directed at children under 13. We knowingly collect no data from children. We also collect no data from adults.

Changes

If anything material changes in this privacy policy, we’ll update this page and the date below. Material changes will be announced in an app update.
